Recipe : Heart Shaped Paneer Spinach Fritters

Add emotion to your starter with these heart shaped Indian fitters prepared by spinach, paneer, cheese, herbs, spices.

Recipe : Heart Shaped Paneer Spinach Fritters Ingredients

For dough
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 4 tbsp Food oil
For savoury stuffing
  • 4 tbsp Food oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 3 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 3 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tbsp Garlic crushed
  • 1/2 cup Onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup spinach finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup Panner crumbled
  • 1/4 slice Cheese square shape
  • 1/4 slice Mozarrella cheese square shape
  • 2 tsp Green Chilies
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp oregano
  • 3 tbsp Chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
For slurry
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp water
For garnishing
  • 5 pcs Rose petals
  • 5 pcs Cheese spread

Recipe : Heart Shaped Paneer Spinach Fritters Step by step

  1. Prepare dough with all the stated ingredients and keep it aside.

  2. Prepare for the stuffing.
  3. Take a pan, add oil and bring it to heat and cumin seed till it splutters. Add onions, crushed garlic and fry them till the raw aroma vapourises. Add ginger garlic paste and fry them with onions til golden brown.

  4. Add salt, spinach fries them on high flame, till spinach loses its complete water from it. Add crumbled paneer, green chilies to it and fry it for few minutes. Switch off the flame and now add oregano mixture, chili flakes and mix the stuffing properly.

  5. Preparation of dough.
  6. Roll them with the rolling pin, now take the heart shape cutter and cut it into a heart shapes. Make the slurry with the help of the above-stated ingredients for the slurry. Make sure you do not end up with lumps.

  7. Take up heart shaped the dough and add normal cheese slice, fill it with the filling, Add mozzarella cheese. spread the slurry on the edges of the heart. Next, take a second heart, apply slurry on the edges of it. Place them on the top of the first heart.

  8. Next slight press the edges so that both the heart stick to each other. Take a wide bottom pan, add oil to it for deep frying. Add the heart to it (one at a time.) and fry them on low flame. Garnish with rose petals and cheese spread on the side of the tray.
