The sour taste of tomato seasoned with spices and herbs is a perfect base for any north Indian vegetable curry.

Recipe : Indian Makhani Gravy Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Amul Butter
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 2 Cinnamon
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 tsp Anise
  • 1 Onions
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp ginger chopped
  • 4 Garlic chopped
  • 1 Green Chilies
  • 12 Cashewnut
  • 1 cup water

Recipe : Indian Makhani Gravy Step by step

  1. In a pan, add oil and butter melt it. Now add cumin seeds, anise seeds, star anise, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom cloves and cook it for a minute.

  2. Now add chopped onion. cook it until light pink.

  3. Now add chopped garlic, ginger and cook for a minute.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes, cover the lid and cook it for a minute.

  5. Add few cashew nut, red chili, and salt.

  6. Add water and cook it for 5 minutes and blend the paste in mixture grinder and use it.
