Red kidney beans curry cooked with onions, tomatoes and a special blend of spices.
Recipe : Red Kidney Beans Masala (Rajma Masala) Ingredients
- 1 cup Red kidney beans (Rajma)
- 3 Onions
- 5 Tomatoes
- Salt
- 2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala
- 3 Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 2 Cardamom
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Soak rajma in water overnight

When ready to cook, in a pressure cooker, add little oil or ghee.

Now add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and add onions and fry for 5 min.

Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for 5 min.

Now add finely chopped tomatoes or tomato juice( blend in mixie jar) and add channa masala (if you have), coriander powder, garam masala, salt, chili powder, turmeric powder and cook till gravy is thick.

Now add rajma beans along with little water and close pressure cooker lid and cook for 10 whistles.

After 10 min, open the pressure cooker and transfer the rajma masala into serving dish.

Serve hot with chapathi or pulav.
